Abstract
Over time, human beings have increased their ability to observe and predict natural phenomena. However, all this would not have been possible without a database long enough to be able to distinguish each of the processes involved. Therefore, it is important to have time series that help us not only as input data for numerical and statistical models, but also to calibrate the data obtained with remote sensors (satellites and radars). In the state of Veracruz, estuaries are one of the most important aquatic systems due to their biodiversity. In order to understand the environmental changes that affect these systems, it is very important to have systematic hydrological time series that allows us to take measures to mitigate the negative effects impacting estuaries in the region, such as the climate change.
