Abstract

To increase agricultural productivity in Mexico, the 2018-2024 six-year period implemented Fertilizers for Wellbeing (FpB) as a priority program, so that producers have access to productive inputs such as fertilizers. The work analyzed the distribution of the support amounts of the FpB program and its impact on the agricultural production of priority crops in the country's entities. Databases of beneficiaries from fiscal years 2019 to 2023 were analyzed in the federal government's open data and agricultural production of priority crops. It was found that FpB supported 21 priority crops. The amounts of support and number of beneficiaries increased in the five agricultural periods (2019-2023). The program began with the highest amount for the very high marginalization stratum and in 2023 the opposite happened. No statistical differences were found for the distribution of beneficiaries in relation to the agricultural cycles, but there were for the distribution in the entities. Guerrero, Chiapas, Oaxaca and Mexico have a greater number of beneficiaries. A correlation was found between the number of beneficiaries and the amount of support (r2= 0.8567), so that as the number of beneficiaries increased, the amount of support also increased. Finally, it is evident that, although the amount of support increases, the same does not necessarily occur in production, considering.
