Abstract
Napatecuhtlan is located in Pueblo Viejo in the municipality of Perote, Veracruz and corresponds to the period 300 to 900 AD. It should be noted that the work from Medellín, published in 1953, is the only archaeological document that describes the site and the excavation carried out in 1950. The materials are currently located in the warehouses of the Xalapa Museum of Anthropology of the Universidad Veracruzana located in the capital of the State of Veracruz. The objective of the work focuses on the analysis of two cremated burials from the Napatecutlan archaeological site. In this place, different pyramidal architectural structures, ball games and shrines were found, where human burials with differential funerary treatment were found. The space is framed in a mountain landscape and some associated materials have a close relationship with water, as can be seen in the obsidian figures and vessels of Tláloc, god of rain.
