Abstract
This article presents the monitoring report of public green spaces in the city of Fortín de las Flores, Veracruz, Mexico, for the period between 2023 and 2024. For identify their current condition in relation to the indicators of a healthy environment. The study analyzed, individually, the city's parks, green areas, fields, and sports spaces.
The monitoring of the indicators observed by the OUAES (Observatorio Urbano Arquitectónico de Entornos Saludables ) of the Faculty of Architecture in Córdoba, Veracruz, is to analyze data: location, use of space, state of conservation and deterioration, activities, condition, infrastructure, available areas, gardens, flora and fauna, recreational and sports zones, children's areas.
Public green space is essential for the development physical, environmental, and psychological activities of residents. Conducting research to monitor the most recent interventions and changes in public green spaces in the city of Fortín de las Flores, Veracruz, in recent years will allow us to determine their current status for future short-, medium-, and long-term interventions. This is based on parameters established by international organizations such as the OMS (Organización Mundial de la Salud) and the goals of the ONU 2030.
As a conclusion of this monitoring process, the current state and interventions in public green spaces in Fortín de las Flores, Veracruz, Mexico, during the 2023–2024 period were identified. The results include a matrix summary table and traffic light plans that will identify the areas with the most urgent needs in the short term.
