Abstract
Abstract: Physical literacy is a tool that empowers individuals to develop competencies that enable them to maintain an active lifestyle throughout their lives. Objective: To analyze the relationship between physical literacy and levels of physical activity through educational experiences in physical and sports activities. Type of study: Quantitative, longitudinal, and experimental research involving a physical literacy intervention across three educational groups, where levels of physical activity and physical literacy were quantified. Results: A statistically significant increase in levels of physical activity and physical literacy was observed at the beginning and end of the educational experience, as well as a positive relationship between higher scores in physical literacy and higher levels of physical activity. Conclusion: Educational programs that promote physical literacy have a favorable impact on the level of physical activity among university students.
